Jacksonville Hyundai dealer, Hyundai of St. Augustine, announced recently that it has a large selection of 2011 Tucson SUV’s in stock and ready for Jacksonville Hyundai Tucson shoppers to test drive.
The improved 2010 Hyundai Tucson was top rated (or tied for top rated) for a large number of attributes including: overall satisfaction, exterior size, exterior styling, power/acceleration, fuel economy, safety features and overall quality. Jacksonville Hyundai Tucson shoppers will find more of that and more in the new, redesigned 2011 model.
In addition to boasting an array of standard Hyundai strengths like value, affordability and overall quality, the new crossover SUV’s sleek styling, abundant features and fun-to-drive nature, definitely set it apart from the competition.

Jacksonville Hyundai shoppers aren’t the first to notice everything new about the 2011 model. Edmunds.com selected the new Tucson as a top pick for a small crossover SUV. According to Edmunds, “The 2011 Hyundai Tucson might not be as big as its main rivals, but it makes amends with a handsome cabin, an ample list of features, sporty handling and a low price. It’s a top pick for a small crossover.”
The 2011 Hyundai Tucson is a five-passenger compact crossover SUV offered in three trim levels: GL, GLS and Limited.
The GL comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, a hill-holder feature, hill-descent control, a trip computer, air-conditioning, full power accessories, keyless entry, a tilt steering wheel, cloth upholstery, a height-adjustable driver seat and a six-speaker stereo with CD player, satellite radio, auxiliary audio jack and a USB port. The GL also comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission but a six-speed automatic is available.
The GLS adds 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, roof rails, heated side mirrors, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, leatherette vinyl door trim and seat inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and Bluetooth. All-wheel-drive GLS models also get heated front seats.
For the ultimate in driver comfort and convenience, the Limited trim goes the extra mile by adding 18-inch cast-aluminum wheels, outside mirrors with integrated turn signals, automatic headlights, fog lights, upgraded suspension, front wiper de-icer, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar adjustments, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a cargo cover.
Regardless of which trim Jacksonville Hyundai shoppers choose, they will appreciate the 2011 Hyundai Tucson’s sculpted body and stylish interior, which set it apart from its meeker competition.
EPA-estimated fuel economy for the GL with a manual transmission is 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined. The automatic improves these figures to 23/31/26 mpg. The front-wheel-drive GLS and Limited models are expected to get 22 city/31 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined, while AWD models make slightly less at 21/28/23 mpg.
Safety is a feature Jacksonville Hyundai shoppers watch for, and standard safety equipment on the 2011 Hyundai Tucson includes antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability and traction control, active front headrests, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, hill holder and hill descent control. In fact, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named Tucson one of its Top Safety Picks, awarding it the top rating of “Good” for frontal offset and side impact protection as well as roof strength tests.

Jacksonville Hyundai Tucson dealer, Hyundai of St Augustine, announces that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded the 2010 Hyundai Tucson a “Top Safety Pick” designation for achieving the highest possible rating of “Good” in all crash test categories.
Vehicles were judged as “Good” had to pass a frontal offset crash test, side impact test, rear crash protection/head restraint rating and rollover roof strength test. To pass the roof strength testing, vehicles had to withstand a force equal to at least 4 times the vehicle’s weight. The current federal standard is 1.5 times weight.
As a final consideration, an IIHS “Top Safety Pick,” vehicles must also feature Electronic Stability Control (ESC)—a safety feature that has been standard on Tucson since the fall of 2004. This year, Hyundai has continued to improve the safety package on the Tucson, debuting new standard technologies such as Downhill Brake Control (DBC) and Hillstart Assist Control (HAC).
Hyundai of St Augustine offers Jacksonville Hyundai Tucson shoppers both the GLS and Limited trim levels. The GLS comes standard with steel wheels, air-conditioning, full power accessories, a tilt steering wheel and a six-speaker CD stereo with an iPod/USB interface. To this list of features, the Limited trim adds alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a tilt-and-telescoping multifunction steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and Bluetooth.
The excellent Hyundai Warranty is available for Jacksonville Hyundai Tucson shoppers—another great reason as to why now is a great time to purchase a new Hyundai at Hyundai of St Augustine.
